What you’ll do:

As the Agronomist, you will be the face of Delta Co-op within the communities we serve, delivering world-class customer service. You will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with current and future customers and promote the Co-op’s services and products.
  • Make recommendations on products, services, and programs to meet and exceed customer needs. This will involve field scouting, plot tours, and providing the most recent information available on seed, weed, disease, and insect control. This will also involve investigating potential challenges and offering solutions.
  • Be proactively involved in the business decision-making process of key customers.
  • Provide learning opportunities to customers that will provide value-added tools and resources to their business.
  • Stay up to date on current and future agricultural trends.
  • Create and implement strategies for growth opportunities and market development.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring inventory is in place to match demand.

The Team: You will report to the Agro Manager and together you will provide our communities and customers with the best service and products.

Who you are:

You are passionate about Agriculture and making a difference in the community and you:

  • Have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or a combination of education and experience.
  • Have your Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) of PAg designation or are willing to pursue the designation. Assistance will be provided to pursue the designation.
  • You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships, and value the perspectives of others.
