What you can expect in a typical day

We have a great opportunity for a full-time Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The key focus of this role is responsible for data entry and we are looking for someone to support the balancing of inventory and cash, inventory reconciliation, filing and other duties as required.  This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and someone who is self-motivated to accomplish the task at hand.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and print scanned documents.
  • Verify all beginning and ending figures.
  • Responsible for manually inputting inventory receipts and adjustments.
  • Ownership of editing and posting electronic download files.
  • Responsible for the verification and reconciliation of all cash and cheque payments.
  • Responsible for manually inputting PO numbers.
  • Identify inventory errors and manually input in an Access database.
  • Manage and update Excel inventory spreadsheet.
  • Manage the sorting of mail and batch paperwork.
  • Filing and other duties as required.

Education and experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary education in business or related discipline an asset
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Inventory balancing and/or accounting knowledge an asset
