POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Data Analyst (Digital Insights Specialist) works closely with FP&A to help build and maintain robust dashboards that encompass various data sources on our E-Commerce and NCC infrastructure that report on the health of the business unit. This role will also work as part of the E-Commerce and NCC team to analyze and interpret the data available to formulate actionable insights. This will help the company identify areas of interest and make informed decisions based on the insights.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Creates queries to generate reports and dashboards from overlaying internal data sources that align with key metrics within the company and departments
- Creates scenario models to predict key metrics and financial outcomes
- Analyzes data and trends on website performance, online sales, fulfillment and shipping, and efficiencies within our National Call Centre
- Interprets data into actionable insights and recommendations on where and how the business unit can improve
- Provides recommendations on appropriate department and project related KPIs and achievable targets backed by data and insights
- Collaborates with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to integrate and validate company financial data
- Provides data and reporting to support strategic planning and initiatives that increase our digital capabilities
- Recommends tools and technologies that provide rich data and insights that are beneficial to the company
- Responsible for A/B experiment design and analysis
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to acquire customer qualitative research on their digital and call centre experience
- Presents reports and findings in a clear and articulate format to key decision makers in the company
- Works with our technology vendors on acquiring appropriate and accurate data from their platform and integration into our reporting
- Provides training and education of digital data concepts and dashboards
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Post-secondary education in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science
- 2+ years Power BI (or equivalent data visualization tool) experience building advanced dashboards from various sources
- Proficient in SQL and Google Analytics
- E-Commerce metrics (AOV, CVR, CLV, CAC, CTR, etc.) experience is considered an asset
- Proactive, self-driven and impact driven person
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast speed environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill with an ability to effectively convert and convey technical information to understandable actions
- Aptitude and ability for collaboration, judgment and teamwork
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
