An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Policy Analyst at the University of Liverpool’s Heseltine Institute for Public Policy, Practice and Place.

The Heseltine Institute is the University of Liverpool’s city-facing public policy research institute focusing on the future of cities, regional inequalities and public service reform. Our aim is to support evidence-led urban policy, informed by high-quality research and underpinned by an acute understanding of place.

This is a joint co-located post between the Heseltine Institute and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) which will strengthen academic-policy engagement at the city region level. You will support and develop collaborative relationships to embed academic expertise and insight into the combined authority¿s evidence and policy work. This will include developing and disseminating a programme of lessons learned / what works papers to inform LCRCA policy priorities and programme development.

The role requires research interest, experience and vision relevant to the core focus of the Heseltine Institute; expertise and experience in designing policy-facing research and employing different research methods and forms of data analysis; adaptability and imagination required to take up new challenges; to work as part of a team; and a commitment to personal development.

You should have a degree or equivalent professional research experience in related subject with a strong public policy dimension.

This post will be full time on a fixed term basis for 24 months.
